The Local Community Radio Act (HR 1147) has just scored another big win in Congress.
Last week, we reported that the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet passed the bill out of committee. Today, the full House Energy and Commerce Committee passed the bill.
This may seem like a small step, but for a bill that’s lingered in Congress for a long time, it’s a giant leap. Today’s vote means that the bill will finally get to the House floor for a full vote.
The legislation would expand the number of Low Power FM radio stations available to communities across the country.
But don’t just hold your breath that Congress will do the right thing. Ramp up your support for the bill right now.
What I don't understand if
What I don't understand if you idiots don't like our free country and speech Chavez is always looking for people and when you leave this GREAT COUNTRY please take OBAMA and his STAFF with you. Or you can get a raft and take the short trip to CUBA. There has been to many people who died supporting our freedom and people like you want to piss on it. You people are cowards hiding behind freedom so you can say it sucks just think about that because you would never get away with your BS living with CHAVEZ or CASTRO.
